This is the British standard specification for the safe working of vehicle breakdown, recovery and removal operations and is adopted industry wide.
Introduced in 2022, PAS 43 the standard establishes a management system to ensure the safety of roadside recovery operations for both technicians and the public. It sets out best practice for procedures and handling of equipment, with a full internal audit and external annual assessment .
A strong emphasis is placed on training, providing a recognised benchmark for safe working practices across the recovery industry.
Gallows Wood Recovery continues to maintain PAS 34 Certification today and we’re still acknowledged as the first recovery company to achieve this certification.
